Sk8-Hi

The Vans Sk8-Hi is truly the definition of the original high top skate shoe. This iconic style was introduced in California in 1978 and simply called “Style 38”, in the following years the Sk8-Hi pioneered the high top look in skateboard shoes and ushered in the iconic Vans “side stripe” design that is such an identifiable brand mark on their shoes today. This high top look was adopted throughout the skateparks, beaches, and streets up and down California. Fast forward to today and Vans shoes personify the Californian skate and surf culture, with the Sk8-Hi being one of the most demanded shoes in the collection. The Sk8-Hi is made with a durable “waffle” vulcanised sole unit and the elegant lines of the upper section support the use of textiles, suedes and leathers with ease. This is a classic that has without a doubt notched itself a place in the skate shoe hall of fame.
