Poets
Poets was started as a skate shop by skateboarding legend Gino Iannucci in his home town of Long Island, NY, inspired by the streets he grew up around, Poets Corner. In 2012 Gino sadly had to close the shop as he was unable to commit enough time to it. A few years later Gino reignited Poets, but rather than a skate shop Gino brought it back as an apparel company. Similar to the inspiration of the name of the company, the clothing range is a direct reflection of Gino himself, often referencing other passions of his such as Ice Hockey and Tennis or championing the local landmarks where he grew up. Poets is Gino and he is known by many as the king of style, so it only makes sense for him to translate his whole self into Poets’ clothing line, and that is exactly what they have done.
