Duties and Taxes – Europe

On 01/01/2021 the UK left the EU single market. From that day forth, any orders placed from locations outside the UK may incur additional duties and taxes to be paid on arrival in the destination country (if applicable). In general, we ship internationally using a method called DDU or “Delivered Duties Unpaid”. This means that the recipient is responsible for any duties and taxes that are required to be paid on entry to your country.

Please note there may also be a brokerage fee to pay.

Duties and Taxes

  • If you are ordering from any country outside the UK, any applicable duties and taxes will need to be paid on entry to your country.
  • Please note that we will not charge you tax if this is the case and you will pay the applicable tax at your local rate. Duties, however, are an extra charge due to the fact that you are importing the product(s) from abroad.
  • We advise that you first check with you local customs and excise office before ordering, as the recipient, in most cases, will be liable for these charges. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Parts of the UK with longer shipping times

Due to the geographical location of some areas within the United Kingdom shipping transit times may be slightly longer than quoted in the following areas, as such we cannot guarantee next day delivery: AB13, 14, 21-23, 30-45, 51-56, 99 and all IM – the Isle Of Man, BT – Belfast, IV – Inverness, PH – Inverness, PA – Renfrewshire, KY – Kirkcaldy, KW – Orkney Isles. TR20,21,22,23 – Truro, HS – Isle Of Lewis, ZE – shetland, GY – Guernsey, JE – Jersey, The Isle of White.

Please note that we advise that any orders that are placed before 3pm on weekdays are usually dispatched the same day, however, this can be affected during busy periods such as Christmas. Any orders placed on weekends or bank holidays will be processed on the next possible working day, i.e. Mondays in the case of a weekend. I have placed my order, what happens next?

Once you have placed your order and payment has been successful, you will receive an email with your order confirmation. We will then process your order as quickly as possible and ship it using the service selected at check out. Once shipped, we will update the status of your order to “complete” and you will receive an email (and text if selected) confirmation that your order has shipped.  You can then check further progress of your order by logging into your my account area of our website where you will be able to see all the tracking details for each order placed and see live updates by clicking the “track” button.

Note: If you have not received an order confirmation or shipping confirmation, please check your email spam/junk folder. Email providers like Gmail and Hotmail have quite aggressive spam filters and it is likely that your email will be there.

* Christmas is a busy time of year and we want to make sure you get your order in time for the big day. If you have a coupon code that upgrades you to next-day shipping, it is likely that it will be shipped using the Next Day service. This is a 1-day service, however, this is not “guaranteed” especially when the courier has a lot of volume through their network at busy times of the year. Please contact us before ordering if your order is time-sensitive or order using the appropriate guaranteed service.

** If you are outside the EU then you may be liable to pay tax and duties on receipt of the goods into your country. This depends on the tariff per country so please contact us before ordering if you are not sure.
