Primitive Skateboards was originally started as a retail concept in Encino, California in 2008 by world-renowned professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez and friends Heath Brinkley, Andy Netkin, Jay Partow, and Jubal Jones. The company quickly evolved beyond the bricks and mortar retail store and developed into a fully fledged skateboard brand in its own right. Now Primitive as one of the markets leading US-based skateboard brands and boasts a team of riders that are individually some of the best in the world, and together create a collective of skateboarders that is hard to match for raw talent. Beyond skateboard hardware, Primitive now designs and manufactures a full apparel and accessories line from their base in Los Angeles, California and continues to push the boundaries by introducing new products and collaborative projects.
